Hormonal therapy side-effects

The side effects of this type therapy depend on which treatment was chosen, but, in general, include weight gain, hot flashes, nausea and/or fertility changes.

In women, hormonal therapy can stop or disturb normal menstrual cycles or lead to vagina dryness. This last effect can cause discomfort or even pain during sexual intercourse (dyspareunia = pain during sex).
