Overview

Concerning diagnosis, the distinguishing feature between colon cancer and rectal cancer is merely their place of origin, and thus the name "colorectal cancer." 

However, there are important differences concerning their treatment. 

In this section, we give an overview of the treatment options available for both types of cancer, and the research being done. The aim is that you become familiarized with the different approaches, distinguishing their mode of action. This will give you information so that you can fully participate in your treatment.
