How to detect?

Cancer can (and should!) be detected early.

We know that to detect and diagnose cancer during its initial stages can be essential for a successful treatment.

That is why the recent evolution in technologies and methods of detection has led to such a dramatic increase in survival rates.

Furthermore, today women can actively participate in prevention and surveillance of their own disease to protect their future.

In this section you will find information about the screening  process for breast cancer early detection in women at risk due to their age (and with no symptoms).

We also introduce a new concept called breast awareness  , in it the woman is invited to learn about to her own breasts’ normal aspect and feeling, so she can be alert for any changes, no matter how small, and report them to a doctor.

Learn also about the steps taken to diagnose  breast cancer if suspicious signs are detected.
