Signs and symptoms


What you should look for:

  • A single new nodule that is hard and does not disappear with time;
  • A pain that persists and does not respond to anything (such as changing the bra);
  • A change in the breast size;
  • Inversion of the nipple (facing inward);
  • Discharge from the nipple(s) (except if during breastfeeding periods or after menopause);
  • Hardening of the breast skin like an orange skin;
  • Retraction of the skin when the arm is lifted (like a small hole);
  • Any sign of inflammation.
